Every time I come back to my hometown of Cleveland, I realize that the city is doing amazing things. There’s always something new to discover; a restaurant that recently opened, a new addition to a city museum, or, my favorite, freshly painted street art. Whenever I’m back home, I visit a bunch of exciting spots in the city and, duh, snap tons of pictures. Whether it’s for a professional wedding or engagement photo shoot or simply to liven up your Facebook or Instagram feed, here are 6 of my favorite photo worthy spots in Cleveland!
This picturesque harbor boasts a gorgeous view of the Cleveland skyline and North Coast Harbor. It’s surrounded by green space that houses activities throughout the year, but the best part about this spot is the Cleveland script sign right on the lakefront! This shot shows off The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the water and provides a perfect photo op.
Hingetown is a part of Ohio City – a lively, young & exciting neighborhood in Cleveland. The area is bustling with great restaurants and bars and boasts some of the coolest wall art I’ve ever seen! 10 large-scale murals have gone up in the last few years and they make the perfect, unique background for an Insta-worthy photo.

The Cleveland Museum of Art is located in the heart of University Circle, which has photogenic spots at every turn (The Museum of Contemporary Art, Severance Hall and The Botanical Garden, to name a few). The best news is, besides feeding a few quarters to the parking meter, you won’t spend a dime here because admission is always free. What could beat that?! The art is beautiful, the atmosphere is serene, and there’s plenty of photo opportunities in the courtyards and outdoor Grecian-reminiscent areas.

When I told my sister I wanted to visit an “ambiance friendly lunch spot with great food”, she immediately took me to The Plum Cafe & Kitchen, and she was spot on! This friendly cafe with cute wallpaper, pink booths and frozen rosé slushies is perfect for meeting a friend for lunch or an after-work treat. [They also have great Vegan options!]
Architectural Justice is a new furniture showroom that is accompanied by a full cafe and cooking class gallery. The vibe is reminiscent of one of my favorite lunch spots – 3 Arts Club Cafe inside of Restoration Hardware in Chicago, and it adds a lovely and welcome touch of European ambiance to Strongsville. Visit for the furniture, visit for the chic ambiance, or visit for a delicious waffle made in house. This new spot definitely delivers a photo-worthy option to Cleveland!
